What’s the meaning of your band name? A Palindrome representing balance and equality= DIANA ANAID

Describe your nominated work: It’s a song about opening your heart and changing the world for a better place.

Why did you choose to submit this work to The 10th IMA’s? Recommended by fellow musicians.

Did you use any unusual effects or instruments in this recording? Not really we produced this version of “Charity” in a day’s recording.

Were there any happy accidents while in the studio, or did everything go as planned? It was pretty straight forward and went to plan, the three of us who created this track have recorded an albums worth of material already beforehand so we all were pretty familiar and comfortable with the recording process and working together.

Did fans help you fund this project? No just us

Who’s sitting in your audience? Our audience is wide and made up of many different types of people. From teenagers, to students to mums n dads and grandparents.

What makes your fans unique? They are all compassionate people.

Are there any songs you wish you wrote? “Give Peace a Chance”

What artists are you listening to that would surprise your fans? Interpol, The Arcade Fire, The Streets, Massive Attack, and some good heavy stuff Kylesa, Barroness

What is your dream show lineup? The Arcade Fire, Interpol, and Ani Di Franco

What is your guilty pleasure on the road? Stopping at every Whole Foods we find!

Any close calls or mishaps while on tour? Lots of last minute dash’s to airport Check In desks and close calls driving on the wrong side of the road in America…

Do you have any rituals before you go on stage? Try to stay relaxed and calm and try to avoid hitting the band ‘rider’ to hard before shows…

Should music be free? Umm that’s a hard one cause if you are an indie artist you are funding your own career and it becomes expensive to maintain.

How has digital affected your career? My music has spread with the digital age, I have fans from all over the globe that have access to my work that probably never would have known I existed without modern technology.

Are digital singles vs. full albums the future of music? Music lovers still by complete albums even vinyl from their favorites!

Finish this sentence: The music industry is… constantly changing!
