Fenech-Soler are a British electropop band from Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire that formed in 2006. It consists of four members Ross Duffy, Ben Duffy, Daniel Soler and Andrew Lindsay. The name Fenech Soler comes from Daniel Soler’s full surname, which is Maltese. The band has received considerable positive critical appraisal in the UK and the USA, including from major newspapers and numerous music blogs. In addition to their own work, they are also known for their remix work, including a remix of “Hollywood” by Marina & The Diamonds in January 2010. Lead vocalist Ben Duffy was featured on the Groove Armada track “Paper Romance”, taken from their latest album Black Light. The band have produced a minimix aired on Annie Mac’s show on BBC Radio 1, and the single ‘Stop and Stare’ was named as one of the station’s DJ’s ‘Record of the Week’ and the ‘Weekend Anthem’. The Dutch public broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting uses ‘Demons’ as an anthem for their 2010-11 UEFA Champions League broadcasts. Fenech-Soler toured the UK in 2010.
