What’s your favorite press quote about your music?: Heartfelt stuff that shows there’s still a down-home alive and well somewhere, Thomas never dips into corny genre clichés and keeps it all above board and on track.
The song or songs that changed your life and why: “Sit Down Young Stranger” by Gordon Lightfoot. I thought it told my story and I always have considered in my national anthem.
Describe the first time you walked onstage: I was very excited. I knew lots of people were out there but I could not see them, but I could hear them. I just took a deep breath and started to introduce myself.
Why did you submit to this year’s Independent Music Awards?: People love my songs and I feel I write a good songs and want my music to “get out there”.
If you win and/or get nominated, how will you use your IMA honor to further your career?: I will be very proud and I will blast it out to the world.
Who is your musical hero & what would you like to learn from them?: Gordon Lightfoot and John Denver. They both told stories in a captivating way. Their songs were easy to sing along with and I did.
