Chris Diaz has been with Knitting Factory Entertainment for the better part of the last decade. He began working with the company as a part-time front of house sound tech at their Hollywood location and quickly became the Junior Talent Buyer booking and developing the best local talent Southern California had to offer. After a few years, he was promoted to Senior Talent Buyer for the Hollywood club’s three separate concert spaces – 600, 300, & 100 cap rooms – booking close to 90 shows every month.
In October of 2009, the Knit Hollywood was closed after a ten year run, but Chris was not done yet. Knit management moved him out to New York to begin a new era on the East coast. The Knitting Factory Brooklyn had its grand opening in Williamsburg that same month and has since hosted the best bands in the new music world such as: Best Coast, Foster The People, Grouplove, WU LYF, Smith Westerns, Frank Turner, Titus Andronicus, We Were Promised Jetpacks, The Black Lips, Beach Fossils, jj, Twin Shadow, Cold Cave, Surfer Blood, Wavves, Cults, Black Mountain, The Hood Internet, Dungen, Doomtree, The Gaslamp Killer, The Radio Dept. & many others.
