Butch Walker announces Hotel Cafe residency and new album
IMA Judge Butch Walker has announced a residency every Wednesday, the whole month of November at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. Each show, Walker and his backup band, The Black Widows, will perform a select album from his repertoire in in its entirety, front to back, in chronological order.
-The first show will be his acclaimed sophomore solo album, Letters.
-The next week will be The Rise and Fall of Butch Walker and the Let’s Go Out Tonites, which includes fan favorites “Hot Girl in a Good Mood” and “Bethamphetamine (Pretty Pretty).”
-The third show will be his latest and most heart wrecnhing, Sycamore Meadows.
– The final show will be a fan chosen set list, selected by requests on Twitter. Fans should vote for their songs with the tag #butchwalkersetlist. Perhaps some Marvelous 3 favorites will sneak in there!
– *Each of the four shows will also include a cover song of fan’s choice selected from Twitter votes with the tag #butchwalkercover.
As an extra bonus- as if that weren’t all exciting enough- Walker will play one new song from his upcoming album, I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart, at each show. The album was recorded mostly live in just one week during Walker’s downtime from producing albums and collaborating on albums for Dashboard Confessional, Weezer, Cary Ann Hearst, NeverShoutNever and others.
