10th IMA Alt. Country Song Nominee – Covers “Wolf Like Me”

Lera Lynn and bandmate Ben Lewis recorded a banjo-driven cover of TV On The Radio’s “Wolf Like Me.” While learning the song, Lera Lynn heard that TV On The Radio’s bassist Gerard Smith passed away from a battle with lung cancer. They have since offered “Wolf Like Me” as a tribute to the musician.

Lynn is a Houston-born, Atlanta, Ga.-based singer-songwriter who released her debut Have You Met Lera Lynn? in March.

“Like many songwriters, most of my songs come from turbulence in my life, be it with a lover or with family or with myself as an artist, or my job,” said Lynn on her site. “This record is about my rebelliousness in love, hard-headedness, distrust. It’s also about being confused about where I’m going and not always getting what I want out of my creative self.”
