Describe your sound: A blend of Ambient, Celtic, Electronica and music to take you on an ethereal journey.

Who’s sitting in your audience?: In my ‘virtual’ audience, there are a lot of musicians and composers and people in the music industry as well as listeners who enjoy the same styles of music I like.  My youngest listener is 3 and my oldest listener is 90 (that I know of).

What’s your favorite press quote about your music?: I’m grateful to all the writers who have reviewed my music or have interviewed me.  My favorite quote at the moment is from Serge Kozlovsky who has supported my music since the very early days and wrote this about my album ‘Voyager’: ‘Its beauty gives you a power to live on and to feel all the unbelievable beauty of the surrounding world.’

The song or songs that changed your life and why: ‘Sweet Lullaby’ by Deep Forest because this was the first time I heard this style of worldbeat music mixed with modern rhythms and atmospheric sounds. This inspired me to compose my first song called ‘Incan Melody’.

Describe the first time you walked onstage: The first time I performed my own music live, I was excited but a little anxious too as I had just form a trio to perform my music and we hadn’t rehearsed all together before.  I had a rehearsal with the guitarist and the violinist and I had a rehearsal over the phone!

Why did you submit to this year’s Independent Music Awards?: The Independent Music Awards is a prestigious music event and as an independent musician, it’s very inspiring to see organizations like Music Resource Group supporting us.

If you win and/or get nominated, how will you use your IMA honor to further your career?: I’d include my IMA in future interviews and  press releases.

Who is your musical hero & what would you like to learn from them?: I have so many musical heroes including composers like Bill Whelan, Harry-Gregson Williams and Alexandre Desplat to bands like Deep Forest and The Corrs.  I’d really like to spend time in the recording studio with them because  it would be really inspiring to see their composing and recording process – one can dream 🙂

Where can fans follow you/purchase your music?: My latest album ‘Voyager’ is available at online stores including Amazon and iTunes and from my label’s website:
