The fan-determined portion of The IMAs help Artists and Fans connect and engage.
Art is subjective. And you surely don’t need to be a music icon or industry mogul to know what resonates with you. So in addition to our influential Artist and Industry judging panels, we provide Nominees and Entrants tools to mobilize their fans; and help them win a coveted Vox Pop nomination or award.
In fact, we’ve enhanced all aspects of our fan outreach programs to help every Entrant increase their fan base from the moment they submit a Song or Music Video. And to help music consumers discover new artists and releases that may otherwise been overlooked.
There are 2 parts to the new IMA Vox Pop program.
Part I. IMA VOX POP NOMINEE: Let Fans help you win an IMA Nomination!
The Vox Pop Nominee program is designed to help you increase your opportunities, find new fans, and have them feel invested in your success. There are No additional fees to participate in the Fan-Selected Nominee portion of the program. You have nothing to lose & everything to gain!
Here’s How It Works:
You will asked if you want to participate in the VOX POP Nomination program during the registration process. If you answer YES:
-Your music/music videos will be uploaded to the nominating platform with links to your IMA Artist Page, web and social media sites.
-Your Entrant Toolkit is stocked with promotional materials that make it easy for you to encourage music fans around the world to support your songs and music videos.
-The IMAs will also support your efforts by incentivizing fans to discover and vote for their favorite Entrants, join your mailing list – even help you enter more work to The IMAs. The most active fans can earn the first IMA Super Fan Award. [Learn more about IMA Super Fan Awards].
-Fan votes will be tallied after submissions have closed.
–Up to One IMA Fan Nominee will be named in each Song and Music Video category.
-Fan Nominees receive an IMA Fan Nominee Award; and automatically move on to the final judging round
* There are No additional fees to participate in the Fan-Selected Nominee program. All Entrants are eligible – but you must opt-in during the submission process, or before the voting deadline.
Participating Artists get the most from their submissions since their entered work is posted on the Nominating platform with links to their IMA Artist Page, web and social media sites, etc.
However, having fans help you snag a Nomination is completely optional.
II. IMA VOX POP WINNER: More Fans. More Prestige. More Promotion.
NOMINATED work [both Fan-selected & Judge-selected] is automatically included in the Vox Pop voting platform so music fans from around the world can discover and champion their favorite IMA Nominees:
-All of your nominated work will have links to your IMA Artist Page, web and social media sites.
-Your Nominee Toolkit has promotional materials that make it easy to promote your Nomination, enhance your CD covers and press kits with “IMA Nominee” logo; and have fans and media contacts help you become a Vox Pop Winner.
-The IMAs will also support your efforts by incentivizing music consumers to discover and vote for their favorite Nominees, join your mailing list, buy your music, etc. [Learn more about IMA Super Fan Awards].
–Up to One Vox Pop Winner will be named in each Song, Album, EP, Design, Music Video & Producer category.
-The Vox Pop results are announced in the 3rd quarter of the year – usually in August – but may be delayed or changed at our discretion.
Nominees & Winners are notified via email to the address they registered with. An announcement will also be made on our website, in The IMA Buzz Newsletter, and our social media pages.
